Introducing the improved rodentia for the popular Babbage Difference Engine, Model III.  Designed by Dr. Augustus LeRoy, renowned manufacturer and purveyor of manual manipulators, the new design allows for many hours of manipulation without hand fatigue or blistering.  It is offered with an elegant marble rodentia pad and the all important padded wrist support to help prevent the dreaded wristolosysist.

Hi guys;

Thanks for the comments. I'm having a blast, but it's time to find real work!

Below is the material settings for the casters and button dials.  I could not find an adequate ivory image to use, and was too lazy to do it in Photoshop.  It needs the cracks and graining of old ivory.

FYI-  For those not familiar with the Babbage Difference Engine, it was the world's first computer.  In 1839!  Babbage was an absolute genius, and laid the groundwork for all computational 'engines" to follow, including the ones we use today.  Visit the London Science Museum pages at www.computerhistory.org/babbage/ and watch the video of the recent reconstruction.  It's only 7 feet tall and 11 feet long, with 8000+ parts!
