Hi everybody,

I have some problems to UV-unwrap the part below.
I have tried different seams and directions but none work as desired.
Your help would be truly appreciated! :)

Where lies the problem? The handle is basically just a cylinder so it would need two seams at the end in the shape of a circle and then one seam running on the inside of the handle. What sort of texture are you trying to apply?

First, you need to re tesselate this part. The just use one single path on the inside spine as seem with as direction option. That should be work.

In my example I added seams at each end then one in the middle. The last one was also selected as the Direction Guide.

I also split the surfaces of the model so I could hide the end faces in the final render with material applied.

Helpful screenshot, Harold! You can split the caps on both ends first, then you'll only need one seem with direction.

Thank you so much everybody, works out now! :)
The seam with direction was my issue.

Glad you got it fixed. If I may ask, how does a door handle out of mesh work? Or is this not a door handle?

BelliB

It is a door handle but I will apply a metal texture, no mesh.
I guess Harold just did this for demonstration.

Oh right, I thought you posted that material. Thanks for clarifying!
