My entry is essentially a cross section with a twist! Unable to reveal any of my live projects at the moment, I have rendered a current Kenwood BL700 blender http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pytZLWhEpE in a worktop scene that has been sliced straight out of the kitchen! This was semi-inspired by the GANTZ manga/film http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lf6dfcPVOb1qdynl6o1_500.gif although very much less disturbing.

The blender 3D is final manufacturing data, the rest of the scene was modelled in Alias Design before being imported into Keyshot. After much experimentation and rendering out the turntable, the final frames were tweaked in Photoshop to include the fading titles.

I had a bit of an issue with texturing the orange as I'm not aware of a way of 'unwrapping' geometry in NURBS as you can in 3DsMax etc, so it's just a fudged cylinder projection for now. Does anybody have any experience with this issue? I assumed an flat distorted globe style map using the sphere mapping tool would work but I had no joy with it  :-\
The lighting isn't quite there to make the knife sing but I ran out of time to tinker with it any further. I literally had my laptop on the passenger seat of my car rendering on my drive to work because it hadn't finished from starting it the night before! Is this a first for keyshot?.. is it illegal? ;D

Very neat!
Cool blend of product in context and technical details.

Was the pun intended?  ;)

Of course, I went through at least 5 synonyms before I settled on that verb.  ;)

Very well done. Thank you for submitting. As far as rendering while driving goes - good question! As long as the laptop wasn't on your lap you should be fine.
