Hi all;

Not really about KeyShot, but I wanted my fellow SolidWorkers to know about a mind-blowing new app called nPower "Power Surfacing for SolidWorks".  I learned of it in the latest issue of Desktop Engineering.  I just downloaded the demo, and played with it this AM.  Frankly, I'm stunned!  It allows us full subD modeling within SolidWorks, back-and-forth!  And, of course, that leads us to even better KeyShots, not to mention happier clients!

Check out http://www.npowersoftware.com/PowerSurfacingSWoverview.html , and be sure to watch the tutorials and videos.

I made this model this AM in about 15 minutes after installation.  It's not a serious work, just a test.  The "lump" was created in SW using Power Surfacing, and the "legs" and base in direct SW modeling.  I edited the lump several times, all without leaving SolidWorks.  The last screenshot was like a 10 second edit just for fun.

In my book, this new app is a no-brainer, and, even though it may be a bit pricy depending on your usage or need, I fully intend to add it to my pipeline!

Yes Bill, that's cool stuff!

Sadly, it doesn't exactly fit my own line of work (check current KeyShot customer story to get a glimpse of what I do ;)).
Persuading the office to get KeyShot was easy, but this is something else...
Any ideas are welcome! :D
