Flower Petals and leaves

Hi,
I am under the gun, and trying to get a realistic looking flower petals and leaves.  I tried starting with the skin shader thinking I could modify it but haven't had any luck.  Any suggestions?  Trying to get an SSS type of effect as well.  Thanks!

I could be shot down in flames here... but I don't think KS can do Thin SSS at the moment...

But I could be wrong...

I gave up and went back to Vray with some decent results.
