Why doesn't keyshot read layer names from Rhino files?
Instead of layer names KeyShot shows "Layer1 #4, Layer3 #2, Layer2 #4"

I also can't understand why does Keyshot show correct layers structure only if all object's materials are set to "By Layer". In other case no layers are understood and each part is shown separately on one level without any names. It's impossible to work in this case.

And is KeyShot's going to support multi-level layers in objects tree?

I should mention that objects tree is a great improvement, but to be really convinient it should show layers names and support multi-levels.

Layer names will be preserved in KeyShot 2.1. What do you mean by multi-level layers?

I mean that layer can have sub-layer, sub-sub-layer and so on. But Keyshot's object tree has now only one level of objects, so sub-layers are shown on the same level with layers.

Yes - that is a current limitation. It is the same with sub-assemblies. It is on the list, not for 2.1 though.
