This is not a rant.
I am having problems with the Camera Switch Event.
I have 2 animated cameras, every time it switches from one camera to the another it jerks, looks like it jumps back a frame or 2 before it continues, its not smooth.

This was one of the updates I was looking for but this makes it unusable.

Ive tried it on Cameras and View Sets, Ive tried it on imported FBX cameras animations  and cameras ive animated in Keyshot but it makes no difference even in Performance mode, it also shows up in a test render or full render in any mode.

I am using a Mac,  3.5 GHz

Can someone help??

Thanks

Peter

Hey Peter,

Can you send a file that demonstrates the problem to rex@luxion via keyshot.wetransfer.com

Best Regards

Hi Rex

Ive just sent you the Keyshot file and a test render so you can see what i am seeing.

Thanks

Hey Peter,

I received your file and have submitted the bug to development. Thank you for your contribution!

Until this is fixed, it looks like you can just render out the frames of the animation and simply remove the single frame that comes directly after the camera switch event.

Hi Rex

With 8-10 cam switches planned thats not a great solution I am afraid, I don't really want missing frames all over the place and I don't want to have to start re numbering the image seq as After Effects flags missing frames

Can you tell me when this will be fixed?

Thanks

Peter

I've filed the bug as high priority but cannot say for sure when it will be fixed. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Ok thanks for the info but I don't understand why this wasn't noticed before Keyshot 5 was released as cam switches are  one of the the main animation update features,  if this is not fixed  in the next week I won't be able to  use Keyshot 5 to render the project iam working on :(

If you need another pre release tester on Mac let me know.

Rex

This has been fixed in KeyShot 5.1
