Hey guys,

for some weeks I am searching through "millions" of IES profiles to get the right one. But haven't found anything fitting yet.

Has anyone of you a hint for me to some IES profiles which fit well for car headlights?

And is there an IES profil viewer for mac too?

Thanks for your answers in advance,

yours

Can't help on the headlight IES, but if you do know the bulb type then it should have an IES somewhere, but IES maps do tend to be more focused on interior lighting than outdoor lighting, but there are IES maps for flood lights out there too, so go figure.

I have a large selection of IES files here that may help https://grabcad.com/library/interior-ies-rendering-test-studio-1/files/DeltaLight-Complete

Sadly there is not an IES viewer for the Mac OSX, or wasn't when i last went hunting one, there is one for windows and you might be able to get WINE to work with it but if you have an Android based mobile then this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.photometricviewer&hl=en_GB may be of use

This is a timely question. Now, a few years later-new to Keyshot-(wZBrush) I am reading this question.
I recently watched Tim Feher's Webinar #37 and at around 15 minutes in he gets into this. I figure that I only need a few (not close to 300) as I only want to enhance my renders, not necessarily match the real word, just need some aimed highlights.
So I'm looking for help and wonder if anyone has assembled a few great ones that will do the trick.
Thanks

It's not as good as a viewer, but I rendered out all the IES profiles from Derek Jensen's site (http://www.derekjenson.com/3d-blog/ies-light-profiles) into individual images in the attached ZIP archive.

Here's also a thumbnail sheet for the series; it's not a completely exhaustive set but there are some very good ones in there. Hope this helps!

This is fantastic! You just provided to me a major major leap forward as I start incorporating Keyshot into my work. Thank you!
This info, I think should be noted in some kind of Banner Headline at the main screen location for this forum. I know I will continue to find more treasures within the Keyshot world, but this has to be a major one.
