How can I identify which colour I've applied?

I've applied a RAL colour to the painted metal covers on this model but I can't remember which one it was.
Is there any way I can find it from the 'materials' tab?

The color name is shown in the tool tip when you hover over the color swatch. If you end up changing the color, the name goes away.

This swatch? If so, I'm afraid it doesn't show a tool tip for me (Windows 7)

Maybe the color has changed? We just checked and it works on both Win and Mac.

Thank you. I've tried it with a new model and it does indeed work as you say. I can only think I must have changed the colour somehow.

convert color to nearest _________ might be a nice feature.

Right click color and see:
convert to nearest RAL
convert to nearest Pantone
convert to I don't know the other ones off the top of my head

Although, I'd like it to bring up a few options. Photoshop can do that with pantone, but it often sucks. Sometimes a color or two in one direction is best. The CMYK conversion is always a bit off for solid colors.
