Hi All,

I have modeled a large equipment in Keyshot. Now to show my clients how large the equipment is, I want a man to be standing by the side of the modeled equipment. Is there any way I can insert an image of a person and make it stand near the equipment? Thanks in advance.

Do a web search for 3D Man Model. There are a few out there, some are free. . .download one and put the model in you scene and render it out. Depending on your software, you may be able to find one that is rigged so you can pose it to your scene.

You can also use an image as you suggested.

1. Add a plane in KeyShot where you want your man to be.
2. Apply image as a label.
3. Duplicate label.
4. Replace duplicate label with a silhouette of the man with no background (transparency saved as .png).
5. Set silhouette as opacity in KeyShot to remove the part of the place outside of the man.

Will,

Thanks. But how do I add a plane? I am only aware of adding a ground plane, but in this case I need a vertical plane where I can move/adjust the plane near to the equipment. Also, is there a way I can add a plane in SolidWorks and then import the plane? I tried to make a single plane and tried to import into Solidworks, but there was an error from Keyshot saying that there is no 3D geometry available, hence cannot import anything. Any advice on the planes will be appreciated.

Thanks.

You can add a plane directly from the edit menu, and then move it.
