Network Rendering - Cloud Rendering over Microsoft Azure or similar

Hello,
do any of you guys ever tried to network render in the cloud such as Microsoft Azure. It was just an idea I had during the weekend, but I ddn't try to setup a virtual machine there for a test. Hope I will find the time to do that within the next week.

Anyhow I appreciate any experience or comment.

Just wondering if you had taken this any further?

I have a 64 core license and trying to use it in the most efficient way possible...just thinking out loud too.. maybe handing the heavy lifting to my own "cloud" could be a way forward...rather than chugging 4 Dell Precision towers away in the garage like I currently do...
