Hi all.
SupaDupaJack shared a bear figurine scene here: https://www.keyshot.com/forum/index.php?topic=14139.msg71517#new

Having some fun with trying to achieve a jell/wine gum look turned into a test of the interior mode vs. normal in relation to caustics.
Both scenes rendered for 10 minutes. I think there is a clear winner. Kinda surprised that the difference is this big.

Very cool, Esben  8) I always use Interior Mode when rendering caustics for exactly this reason. It's pretty amazing how much faster and cleaner the convergence of the light patterns happens.

Yup, the Interior Mode algorithm is much more efficient for Caustics. :-)

Tasty bear...

Wow, huge difference! Unfortunately, Interior Mode is only available if you render locally, if I'm not mistaken. Does anyone know if this might change in Ks7; having interior mode available for network rendering?

That would be amazing!

Interior Mode has always been supported by Network Rendering.

Really? Am I crazy?

I need to check this, what am I thinking of then? :-[

EDIT. Yes I am crazy, turns out, it is available for Network Rendering, but NOT advanced control. Which is 95% of the time, what we use when we use the Network Rendering option. SO it is available via network rendering but only with Max Samples (since Max Time is local only, I believe?)

Thank you!
