Black screen on opening files, 6.3.23

Hi, I have several issues, listed separately, hope someone can help. I have 3 systems, with KS 6.3.23, all win 10 64 , 2 are AMD , FX9590, and FX8350 CPUs, and the other a Surface Pro 4, with intel i7. Some of my .bip and .ksp files will only open on one or the other systems, mainly issues with the 9590, opens with a black screen, the model components are listed, but not available to click on, just hangs with the windows loading icon spinning.
I have noticed the file sizes are over 500mb, which doesn't decrease when some models ae deleted, I've tried disabling graphic effects, and have the latest drivers for the amd systems, both have HD 7850 graphics cards. Any other ideas welcome
