I've been working on and off with Keyshot for about a year but my results are not as good as I would like with my jewelry.  (looking a little CG rather than photo realistic)
Can anyone recommend a good starting point and workflow for using material graphs, lighting, and back grounds etc ? I would like to do more rendering of silver jewelry but am not yet certain as how to get things like the best lighting, blackened effect of liver of sulfer  in the crevices of the metal and still keep the over all metal bright.
Somehow I think the answer may lay in finding a good set up with the material graphs and lighting
Any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

There quite a few users on here that specialize in jewelery, so you will find a plethora of wisdom. Here are a few-

also, they did a webinar a while back on rendering jewelry, check out their youtube channel and search the webinars for it.
