Improving the realism of this render

Hi. I did this render and I was wondering how I can make it better. The scene itself is downloaded from keyshot. I showed it to my friend and he said it's not realistic enough and put some soft shadows in there. i tried making soft shadows but the metal starts to get too shiny and white at some points.
