Sorry tried posting this already but didn't show up so forgive me if this shows up twice.

Thought I would have a little fun with some of the new features in Keyshot 8. 1. Displacements: Used for the terrain, rain droplets on the car and some of the vegetation. 1. Flake/Circles: Used to create the falling rain. (animated volume to create the motion blur) 3. Scattering Medium/Fog for a subtle environmental haze. Although I managed to do almost everything I was trying to achieve it didn't come with out a list of Keyshot technical issues but will post those to the general discussion section shortly.

Enjoy!

Great image and great scenery.

The idea of using motion blurred flakes to create the effect of rain is super cool and it looks great. Very creative!

Thanks will, Appreciate all the love. Lots of great! stuff posted here. If I have time this week a will try and render a version with daytime/clear environment. Funny was just think the other day how photoshop was the most used tool in my process here and over the past two years Keyshot is now become the most used tool.

cheers,

Paul

Terrific work. Where did the terrain detail and trees come from? SpeedTree or some other app/plugin? Is it all set up in Keyshot?

Paul Lang

The overall terrain shape was modelled in blender, the textures and displacement detail were created using Quixel Megascans Mixer and bridge. All the foliage except for the trees are also from Megascans. The trees are from my library, I believe I got them from Evermotion. Yes all this was assembled in Keyshot 8.

cheers,

Paul
