ok, here is my problem:
I have a field (let´s say it is a square) of LEDs shining through a perforated surface.
they are supposed to start glowing from the lower left corner and than spread radial until the whole field is illuminated.
I solved this with a color gradient and a number fade animation.
then a whole bunch of things happen (including some fancy camera movement) and than the LEDs should turn out again. so basically mirrored to the beginning.
any idea on how to do that?
the scene mirrored in After Effects is not an option (unfortunatelly)
the only idea I had so far, was to copy the LEDs, fade the one set in while I fade the other set out and than reverse the movement, but I hope someone has a more elegant solution!

Hello Design Gestalt.

I would create two different animations using model sets.
So you can use for the LED's different materials (with different material animation nodes)
And compose both in both. Or if you like it complicated, you can define two different studios and combine them with the studio switch event.

Hope that helps

Thanks Marco,
I ended up doing this.
My idea was working as well, but I had one frame in between, where all lights were off and could not get rid of it.
no time for complicated stuff this time :)
I´ll save the studio switch event for next time!
thanks for the quick response!
cheers
