Background color ignored when rendering animation frames

Hi

Following on my previous post.

For our render we chose a very dark grey background.
When we render a still image the result is correct.
However when rendering animation frames to .psd 16bit or any other file type the background color gets ignored and switches to the hdr environment.

I  am having trouble to reproduce this on my end.

May i ask Are you using Windows or Mac
Also how do you set the background Color?
Is "include Transparency" enabled?
Does your animation have a Studio switch event?
Also please provide more information regarding the render settings.

In general any information might be important.
