Alembic import no animation issue

I have created a particle simulation in Blender. I have converted the particles to mesh and baked the animation. I exported an alembic and as there are no deformations I used the Alembic - Keyframe Transform option, imports fine but there is no animation in the timeline. Any help would be great!

are you sure your settings in Blender are correct? there is an option to tag "active elements only" i.e. Blender still writes a file even though nothing was active, but KS cannot import any data...
I also never found the "golden way" to export alembic correctly to KS, sometimes one setting seems to work, sometimes another.
I end up trying different settings and see which one imports the best.
not much of a solution, but I still hope it helps a bit ...
