hi guys,
I'm working on a product for a worshop in my university, it's a double chaise longue all resumed in a single surface, the objective is to enhance people to have a dialogue.
Now I'm trying to get a good "textile material" for my renders....in this picture i worked with velvet material and a bump...
let me know what you think and how can I improve this material

thank you!! :)

don't look at the actual ground shadows, i still have to work on them

interesting ... the bump seems to harsh/rough ... try to reduce its height or size.

I can see the conversation going something like this.

person 1

'your feet stink'

person 2

'so do yours'

I like the style tho.

I think your texture is too "sharp".  Could you blur the bump map in it a little bit?  I've always heard that you should always blur your bump maps when doing 3D.  Because nothing appears that crisp in the real world, or even if it does, it makes it look a bit fake in CGI.
