See attached pic.
I have three cubes and I have applied a similar but different colour to each of them from the RAL & Pantone colour palletes.
They are easily confused, being so similar.
Is there a way to subsequently interrogate them and see which actual colour I applied to each of the cubes?
I can only see '....cube..._mat/mat#1/mat#2 etc. in the tree or in the properties.
This must be possible, right...?

As you apply and possibly tweak each color, immediately rename the material.  Then click "Save to Folder" and chose a folder from the drop-down.  For your own reference, or customs, it's best to open a new folder, either in a new category, or within the mother folder.  Do for each color.

It does not matter if you tweak or not- all that matters is that you have renamed it to suit your use.  In the case of Pantone or RAL, just rename each to the original name/number.

You can also hover the color in the material editor to get the name of the color you applied. This will of course be cleared if you changed the color.

Hi

It could be useful to have the possibilty to display a little flag on each object with the material / color used.
Would be also useful to have a report including all the materials and colors used in a project.
