OK, So ive e-mailed techincal support two days ago. As yet no reply? Im not a winger, but let me point out, they replied within hours when i was a potential paying customer. OK, so heres the problem.

1. Keyshot Pro 3.0 installed, legal paid for.
2. The Solidworks pluggin installed.
3. Solidworks 2012 running (no way round this as whole engineering side of business uses it.

So, i have an assembly in Solidworks, a new kettle design for a customer. Import to Keyshot and parts of the face of the 3D models are missing.

OK, so work around, save as IGEs, Parasolid or STEP.... all of which work, but when import, the colours ive applied to split line areas such as the brand logo, and water window markings are now lost, so i cant render the details.

I simply cant think away round this? I either have:

1. Rendering with details, but broken surfaces.
2. Rendering with no details, but non broken surfaces.

All aspects thus far ive been able to work around... only now... head agains brick wall? I have 7 designs for this customer to do. I have to bounce through numerous formats, to get to a final output, creating a huge multipul of parts... still i cant get anything i can work with in keyshot....

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME :(

Mike,

Please check your SPAM folder - I did send you an email a couple of days ago. I just sent it again, in case your SPAM contents get deleted daily.

If you are using the plugin which allows you start KeyShot from inside SolidWorks, then you shouldn't have any problems with the import. Make sure to activate the plugin under Tools inside SW.
