I'd like to make a rendering of the Chanel J12 watch in white ceramic.

I would love to have your opinion on the matter: white ceramic.

It's very difficult to set, because there are translucency and a metallic reflect on the surface.

The translucent material is the best way to get there?

gamma is extra for case body in ceramic, but destroys the quality of the white dial under glass.

Hello,

I'm finally at the end of my research on the rendering of white materials in the environment watchmaking.
The problem of white diamonds have also been resolved.

The secret is the right balance of:
1 - "gamma"
2 - brightness "settings" and "environment"

My hdri used is the "startup"

The challenge when rendering white materials is the bad effect of "burnt" we get quite often. Fix this without interfering with other materials is quite difficult.

For white diamonds, in general they respond better with a hdri "typical", but what hdri is oft not good for other subjects...
As I have not made a postproduction, I had to find the right balance.

The white diamonds have also an effect of iridescent, fire colors. So I use the extraordinary effect of Keyshot "ABBE" to color them.

The search for the material "ceramic white" was quite long, because the parameters are subtle translucency.

Also in watchmaking, there is also a challenge to make the same quality of white objects under a sapphire crystal and those outside.

Frankly, now that I discovered Keyshot, my perspectives of communication will be much more convincing.
