Dell Precision Workstation M4500: FPS only 8.6??

Hi all,

I'm a bit disappointed now that I've seen some of the numbers others are putting up with machines that are pretty similar as mine. My laptop has an i7 Q840 CPU at 1.87GHz, Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M 1Gb, Running Windows 7 64-bit and 8Gb of Ram, and I'm only achieving a lousy 8.6 FPS. Any reasons why its so slow? is it because the Quadro is not meant for rendering and more for modelling?

I have seen some laptops running hot and then the system will automatically turn down the performance of the CPU to avoid overheating.
Try to clean the fans/cooling system.

Thanks i'll give that a try this weekend, I have never cleaned it and its now a year and a half old.
