I found a fun and FAST way to communicate ideas via my blog using the new cartoon shader and Photoshop.  Again, these are not amazing shots but they communicate clearly and in a fun way. Spent about 2 hours on all of them.

Wonderful and perfect use of tooning!  Slick, appropriate to the media and message, and to the point.  What's really interesting is that the color shot (real) looks like a well done KeyShot rendering.  Getting scary!

Appreciate the feedback.  I wasn't going to share this because it was so quick. However, I have had a handful of folks want to know how I did it. What I like about this type of blog illustration is the combination of toon shading with photo-realistic shadows. It is a new look (to me anyway) and I plan on making it a staple when the situation requires.

Oh, and they were fun to do too!  Getting paid to have fun is about as good as it gets yes/no?  :)

Those are really great John.

Did you use a stylus to draw the lines in Photoshop?  I don't think many could do that with a mouse.

Ed-

I doodled in the lines using a Wacom Cintiq and Photoshop. You are correct, I couldn't have done this with a mouse.
