Someone started a thread on the Goldwing forum my Dad runs, about designing a concept for a future Honda Goldwing. The idea is to have it based on concept drawings and suggestions by other members. So far I'm the one turning the drawings into geometry.

We started with the front wheel for some reason, and I guess we will work our way back. Some progress stuff here for fun.

Here is the turntable (the Youtube embed link in posts doesn't seem to work):

Good looking start Dillster - looking forward to more :)

Thanks Martin. Already the dreaded revisions are being requested, dumping traditional front forks for a single sided swing arm.

TpwUK

Well they both look good, but being a traditionalist i prefer forks :/

Me too Martin. But as it's a forum member input project, we have to explore all the options.

Absolutely mate, nothing wrong with experimentation 8)

On the subject of experimenting Martin, someone pointed out a few minutes ago that the metal arm won't work, the pivot point is wrong without additional rods. He suggested a different design, sitting on top of the fender. So it's back to the concept mans drawing board.
All good fun I must say.

The round end with the hole would disappear up under the fairing and connect to the steering and shock/spring.

Dylan

Slight mod to the back of the fender. The general opinion was it was a bit too low.
