I'm trying to render a .jpg of graphic design onto the geometry of the ski goggle strap. My issue is, once I map the .jpg on the onto the strap geometry and apply texture to the strap, I cannot independently manipulate the mapping settings. Basically, when I go to change the angle of the texture, the mapping of the .jpg also changes. I have tried both mapping the .jpg as a label and color.

How do I properly set up this scene so that I can get a .jpg and texture on my ski goggle strap geometry? What mapping setting should I use?

Thanks - Adam

This sounds like you need to use a label with transparency, so use png or tiff not jpeg. Without seeing the part there is no guessing on mapping type. If it's an OBJ or other polygon then you should be able to UV map, if it's anything else then it is try and see what works best. Get the material mapping to suit, then apply the label.
