Here's a picture of some bosses I produced some time ago using a paint material with 'hammertone' colour and bump maps. The result looks like I expected. I saved the material in my library.

I have applied the material with exactly the same settings to a new part and I can't see any sign of a 'hammertone' pattern.
I just don't know what I might be doing wrong.

Any suggestions before I raise a ticket?

I've had this happen many times in KS5, and have no idea what's going on. Bumps just disappear from saved materials. I'll join you in raising a ticket.

Have you tried scaling the bump massively ? - I have not had this issue but I often wonder if KS gets its units muddled. So even though your model is in mm for example, the textures seem to be in inches and everything needs scaling again.

Frustrating, isn't it Bill....

Scaling didn't make a damn of difference, I'm afraid.
If I open the basic scene in KS4and apply the colour and bump maps it works. See pic.

If I open the basic scene in KS5 and apply the colour and bump maps it doesn't work.

However, if I open the basic scene in KS4 and save it as a new BIP with a new name, then open this new BIP in KS5 - it works! See pic.
It's utterly baffling.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, something went off the rails between KS4 and KS5.
KS4 was solid and just worked, KS5 doesn't, and, too many times, leaves me scratching my head.
