Importing geometry and saving issues
« on: November 11, 2015, 10:01:48 am »
I've been using Keyshot 5 for quite a while now and feel I've worked through my frustrations with some of the tricks and tips to avoid complications.

Recently I've been rendering products that were modelled in Rhino.  If and when the model is updated I save it in Rhino and import it into Keyshot - no problem, right?

It's worked nine times out of ten up until now.  I saved a file and began to render - the render failed and Keyshot closed, when I opened the file, frustratingly some of the geometry had jumped layers and was fused with other parts that were never together (ever!) some parts had disappeared and others had mixed up textures.

To add to my frustration I can't import the items I needed to replace as I could before, once I import nothing happens... I haven't changed any settings.

Has anyone else come across this problem?  Normally I'd just start again but in this instance it's to overlay things in photoshop which I've already sent to my client.
