Thanks, hairs are from C4D, I will post the graph for the label in the morning, its late here in the UK and I'm not near my computer...

A suggestion: There is a utility node called "color randomize" which will randomize the color of the object being rendered. When used for curve geometry, you can use it to randomize the color of each curve, e.g. vary the saturation etc.
