Hi

I'm new to Keyshot as we have only recently acquired it in our company after obtaining a trial version for a week, and were blown away by it.  I now need to do an animation on one of our assemblies.  Our sales team have given me an example that they would like the animation to look like, but I,m not sure if its possible or not, mainly the way the assembly components split away to reveal the internals.  I know that the labels cannot be added, been told that that could be possible by importing the avi file into Windows Movie Maker, instead of purchasing some other movie editing software.

Any advice would be more than welcome

Thanks in advance

I would like to say yes to all of it, but I am not sure about the unwrap and re-wrap effect. Hopefully a KS staff member will clarify that for us :)

Hell all
I would like to know if KS5 or KS6 can do "cuts" or "unwrap" functions in animation mode as we can see on the video above.
Thx !

The answer is simple. Yes, it can be done. Luckily all the parts that should be unwrapped are cylindrical. So two quarters of these parts can be rotated to show the unwrap effect.
It would be some work to create all the movie sequences. But it can be done!

The animation on this thread has something very similar at about the 18 sec. mark and it's all done inside Keyshot.
