First of all, the model is an excellent (in my opinion) Blender sculpt by Ben Dansie....

Rendered using the new Translucency model with roughness mapping and a custom HDR

nice. That's the translucency I crave for my character

I'd change the angle and frame it differently so it's looks more like a photo of some "live" sculpture... Still, very good lightning.
