Very sluggish setup

Very sluggish setup.
In the benchmark I have an amazing 237 fps.
But in reality on small or large models it gets to a point where the program pauses for each click, input anything. Then frees up for a few seconds then slows down again.
Any suggestions?

Win 7 Prof64. Dual Xeon E5-2687W V3 3.1Ghz, 32 Gb.
