Hi all;

Been wanting to play with this ever since KS gave us emmissives.  I was interested also by how emmissives would behave on a jpeg created material like treadplate.  Well, I found out!

Emmissives created from my clown pass library, converted into emmissives. Modeled in SolidWorks.  There's an offset surface on all the appropriate surfaces, to which I tested a smooth and frosted glass in hopes of creating a subtle glaze to the tubes.  I don't think it matters.  It's all pretty close to the look of the neon signs at my gym, so I'm happy.

And there is a reason for this exercise!  I'm now rendering a large 24" x 48" "Neon Sign" (not this one) for use as a backlit transparence for a client's sports gear trade show booth.  Test were great, and it's really "in your face" from 100 feet away!
