Heat Shrink animation?

I would like to create an animation that includes some heat shrink constricting around an electrical connector. I am using solid works to draw the animated assembly. Any ideas on how to make the heat shrink realistically shrink?

Maybe someone with more SolidWorks experience can chime in, but my initial response is that you'll have to use another 3D modeling package to animate that kind of transformation (3ds Max, Cinema 4D, etc).
