Hi All,
Something I put together today.
1954 Chevy pickup.
I made the fenders matte black. I really liked the contrast between the high gloss red paint next to the matte black fenders.
Tip:
32 bit render is your friend with these type of shots. (where you want headlights on awith a dark moody feel)
Actually I render everything in 32 bit if its not a animation or VR.
You have so much more color information to work with in your post software.

Beautiful!  I learned to drive in a '54!  Wish I had it now!  I hopped up the straight-six with a bore job, hot cam, headers and Mallory ignition and triple side-drafts.  A real axle-breaker!

I like the headlights!  But maybe tone them down a bit?  I've noticed that the professional automobile photographers usually apply half-voltage to them for photo shoots, which in this case would be 3-4 volts.  The result is a warm "yellow-orange" glow.  The best examples IMO are the photos taken for the high-end Rodder's Journal magazine.  You can see examples on their website.

And the matte black fenders are a great touch!  Actually, an option at the time was glossy black fenders, which were stunning against the cherry red.
