Hi all.

I feel silly for asking this as I'm sure as I haven't exhausted all the options, but I'm striking out at the moment.

Any recommendations for nice wood textures? I love old, worn, character-filled wood floors, but haven't had tons of success in tracking down said textures or maps. Lots of the wood textures I've found don't have seams at the end of the individual planks, or look more like outdoor fences rather than nice, floors. I feel like I see gorgeous wood flooring in renderings all the time, but am wondering how these results are achieved. Do people often make their own textures for situations like this? Hopefully the next time I view this thread, I've figured something out.

Thanks for any help.

Perhaps you should use google translate for this Swiss page in German?!

When i can get this Hackintosh working properly I will be doing a script for flooring, you will need to tatty/mess/grunge up the floor yourself as it is primarily aimed at interior renders of the showroom kind :)

However for the best textures for flooring I don't think you can beat http://orangegraphics.pl/floor-textures/ ... Not much of a selection but the quality is very impressive.
