Found this 3d-scanned dude yesterday and figured he needed a vehicle.
Went straight to grabcad and got one for him  8)

Render is ten out of ten, though street credit for that guy is zero out of ten I'm afraid...  ;D

Haha !! This is so dopee! I really like that ground plane and the reflections. It looks pretty real.

Simplicity is key, and you nailed it!

Magnus Skogsfjord

Hah, that's awesome, Esben. Quite the realism from those scanned models. Great addition to combine it with designs like this, even though this was more of an amusing image.

Chad Holton

;D  Nice work - love the humor too.

Despot, NM-92, Joe, Magnus and Chad: Thank you so much! Much appreciated.

Today I experimented with creating my own image pins.
They are made from a compact fluorescent tube in an old white reflector.
I did 7 brackets for the HDRI ranging from -3 EV to 3 EV.

If you like, you can go to https://gumroad.com/esbenoxholm and download the pins for free and have fun with them.
Please, give me any feedback you have on the use of them. Might do more in the future and would be happy to improve them.
Let me know what you think :)

Love those image pins. Enjoyed the Instagram posts on them too. Very cool.

Thanks Josh!

Here's a short animation practice I did yesterday.
Modeled in rhino, animated and rendered with KeyShot.
Post processing (including display tracking and animation) done with mocha ae and after effects.

Really nice. Sometimes it's hard (at least for me) to get simple objects to look good, but you managed to make it really interesting. That number texture animated is sick ! Great work Esben.

Josh3D

Very slick! You should share those caustics tests too :-O

Thanks NM-92! It is not just you. Simple objects can be really tough to make look good!

Thanks, Josh! Oh, yeah - I will.

Until then, a first serious attempt with a scene using the 'interior' rendering mode. Very simple though :)
Modeled in Modo, materials and lighting in KeyShot, post in Photoshop (glows, contrast, dust, etc.)

Finema
