Cool render ! And a great model too. Just an idea if you want to try it out: If you render your whole car in the exact same position but with the hood this time, you can put both images in your favourite image editing software and play with the eraser and opacity to have some kind of X-Ray effect. That way you can still view the engine details without the feeling of the hood mising.
