Hi there,

I have an open box within a cube inside where I apply via drag-and-drop IES light. When dropping the IES the surrounding box disappears!?

Is there a difference dropping textures/lights etc in the scene tree or directly on geometry??

The point light materials (Point Light Diffuse & Point Light IES Profile) are a bit finicky to apply by drag and drop in the realtime view.
It is better to drop the IES material on the part in the Scene Tree.

This 'weird' behavior only happens for point light materials. It happens because when applying the material, the part essentially turns into a point object.
