Hi all, haven't checked back in a while, I am glad it helped.

About the response from Pixologic :

This is typical justification for bad UX design - claiming that something is "easy" or "works fine" ... and then proceeding to list a number of unintuitive steps which can all go wrong very easily without any error prevention (with a handful of smiley faces thrown in for good measure).

If they are not willing to make the bridge process any smoother on their end (which would probably mean changing some of the core behavior of their program), the solution might just be to add some sort of tooltip in Keyshot to explain all the conditions needed for a proper ZB>KS export (like clearly stating somewhere that a texture *has* to be applied to the model in ZB before the bridge operation). Without this, from the perspective of the end user it will always feel "broken", even though nothing is broken on your end.
