Hi!
I'm working on a packaging project for a client.
I have some ideas that I would like to show but I can't figure out how to recreate the effect of UV finish without spending a month on it.
The first approach that came to my mind was add a surface to the original model (solid Works) and apply the material on KS, but the shape is too complex, like the one on the example, with lot of small shapes.
So I was wondering if that effect could be applied to a PNG image or sticker or if anybody have a different idea.
Please see attached image to understand what I need.

Hello Rodolfo. Yes you can apply your design or pattern as a png label with transparency. You can either set your texture as a diffuse channel on your label (you have to save your png with the desired colour), or you can set a black and white png to define the opacity of the label material (this way you can adjust the color within KS). I hope i was clear enough. Let me know if you have any questions, i'll try to attach some images later.

Hi NM, thanks for that!
I will try that approach and let you know.

Hi Rodolfo.

Maybe there's some process inspiration in this thread: https://www.keyshot.com/forum/index.php?topic=12041.msg58736#msg58736

Also, take a look at this workflow (starting 41:50).
