It'd be nice to be able to override the raytrace limit. And Also the exit color you get back.

I have a white glossy material that need Some reflection, but that's it. Since it's the inside of a box the ray limit has to be high or it shows too much dark. All it really needs is 3-4 rays, but i have glass in the same scene that needs maybe 8-12 rays at least. It would be nice to override the main limit of 12 to only 3 just for my white material and give it an exit color of white so it stays nice and bright how I want it.

Also you can use an ugly strong exit color to find out when you are hitting a ray limit easier than black. So, that's another thing that's nice.

The ray bounces work such that if a surface doesn't need many bounces, it won't use them and thus won't take longer to render.

An exit color override could be nice.

KeyShot

Good idea. We will look into adding that.
