While rendering a particular scene in Keyshot I constantly seem to either crash/freeze or run out of memory around 50%-80% of the way through (3+hrs).  The resolution cannot seem to go beyond 4"x6" @ 300DPI.  This is generally not a problem with other scenes.

This particular scene has all the rendering settings/options set at "stock" and materials are mainly custom metallic paints, a glass, and wood.

Machine Specs Below:

Intel® Coreâ,,¢2 Duo Processor T9900
4GB DDR2

Intel® Xeon® Processor E5640
4GBDDR3

Any feedback or suggestions to get this to work right would be great.

Thanks,

JK

You might want to try "use realtime render" in the render menu.

Can you post a screenshot of your project and render settings that you're currently using?

Thanks!

I will give realtime render a shot tonight before I head out of the office.  I cannot post a "public" screenshot of the scene due to confidentiality.

I have a feeling 90% of my problem is in the wood.  Without the wood it seems to render fine...

Try these settings:

Samples: 12

Ray Bounces: 6

Anti Aliasing: 1

Shadow Quality: 1

Global Illumination Quality: 1

Pixel Filter Size: 1.2

DOF Quality: 1

Sharp Shadows: Enabled

Which wood material are you using? Is it a custom texture?

JKersh

Those setting do not work either.

The wood is the stock oak material with slightly scaled maps
