Glass panel with decal

I am creating a model of old arcade coin op .. and need advice on screen surround.. what would you suggest?

There are tons of approaches for this. You can actually model another part with the cut shape of the graphics. You can apply it as a label on a glass material. You can apply the graphics on a simple plane and use an opacity map to make the display below visible. Usually the best approach is the one that's closest to how it's made in real life.

Man, dig dug taught me how to curse. Vehemently. I had the best love/hate relationship with that game!

You could easily get a high rez image of this and try a live trace in illustrator. From there you could extrude the shapes into 3d objects if you wanted, but you could also just output it as a texture and use it in a material. Sillystrator offers you many routes to go. Even if the Live trace doesn't return good results, it really wouldn't take too long to just trace it by hand and recreate it.

thank you guys for your help. I really apprciate it..will take a look at artwork site to see if they have Defender..
