More cloudy plastic, this time with a much longer render time, therefore less noise.

Hey John,

It looks like most of these have a high Cloudiness and/or low Transparency Distance value.
It also seems like the saturation of the Transmission color is fairly high?
The combination of high Cloudiness and high saturation is expected to generate more noise.
The noise should be much less with colors that have a lower saturation.

What did you use for Cloudiness Color in these shots? Lower saturation here also has less noise.

The cloudy plastic is really optimized for semi-transparent plastic.

Yeah, I'm probably not using it for what it's intended use is - but I just love this translucent plastic look.

In all of these, transmission is set to black, cloudiness colour is, as you surmised, quite saturated, 74cm transparency distance, .9 for cloudiness and 0 for scattering directionality

Sorry, the bottom right one has a lower cloudiness value and higher transparency distance.

These are so cool! I want some for my desk.

Dang! I love the look of those materials. So good!
