Hi all !

I hope you can help me. I work in a communication agency and we would like to develop 3D renderings for our clients. I use keyshot for several years on personal projects and my employer would like to develop it for his company.

He asks me to build a computer to make better and faster renders with a price under 5000€. Can you tell me if this configuration will make a great job or not ? ( we also make videos with Adobe After Effects / Premiere)
I actually work on an iMac 24" I5 from 2011....

Motherboard : ASUS Prime X299-A
CPU : Intel Core I9 7980X
GPU : Nvidia PNY QUADRO P4000 8GB GDDR5
RAM : HyperX DDR4 32 GB

Thank you for your help, and excuse me for my bad english  :D

If you will be using Keyshot you will want to put most of your money into CPU cores (as many as you can afford).  We are using dual E5-2650 CPU's, which gives us 48 cores.  If you will be doing a lot of video in Keyshot, then you really need to spend more than $5000 and get a network rendering server set up.  One of my users is rendering a small video now and it will take 90 hours using 160 CPU cores.

Right, go with the cores. We're using a Dell Precision Tower 7910, dual Xeon E5-2699 processors with 22 cores each for a grand total of 88 threads...
