Mapping controls for Specular Texture only available thru Material Graph ?

Hi,
It seems I can only access the mapping settings for the Specular Texture in the Herringbone Dark Wood thru the Material Graph (Node editor).
Is this correct ?
Also does this mean that for the HD version, the Specular mapping cannot be set: Any adjustment to the Diffuse or Bump mapping setting (such as size) will then be out of 'sync' with Diffuse and Bump textures which can be adjusted.
