Hi. I am trying to set up a scene to render an exhibition panel/column.

My idea was to create the effect that occurs when a crystal medium gets illuminated from the edge.
You will probably saw this a lot of times when they illuminate acrylic panels from the side in stores.
Either to make the engraving in the acrylic glow.

I am trying to get decent settings for this scene. I activated the product mode and the caustics.
Another question is the paper "floating":  Should I use a doubled sided material for paper ? I gave a certain thickness, so I am not sure.

I am using an IES light (KS library) to get exactly the feeling that I want to achieve and see how it will behave in real life.
I need to build this afterwards thats the reason.

Please find attached the scene.

Thanks so much

I just split the outer edge and applied an emissive material. You could more closely match your reference photo by using a cloudy plastic for the acrylic.

My way is the fast-to-render quick and dirty method.
