Is the above possible or do I have to copy and paste everything?

It is possible to copy the group/body that contains the animation to other model set.

In the attached example you can copy the sphere group with the animation node in "Ani A" to the empty model set "Ani B"
But notice that the animation is unlinked to the other!

Hope that helps

Cheers, Marco.

I'm aware you can copy & paste, but I want all Model Sets to change when I add or change an animation.

I might suggest it on the Wish List.

You can do this in a lil bit different workflow.

Define your model sets (with different groups and instances).
Apply the part animation to the group.
Copy this animation.
Paste the linked animation to the group in the other model set. (and repeat the paste in the all other model sets)

That's all!

Thanks, Marco.

This works, but where you have multiple animations in sub-sub-sub assemblies it quickly becomes messy and unmanageable.

What I don't quite understand is when you create a new model set you get the option to Link Animations, but I can't see what this does as you can already copy and paste animation links as you see fit.
